Las Vegas handicapper Bruce Marshall of WagerTalk.com has identified several betting trends for the upcoming NFL slate, with the Arizona Cardinals standing out among road underdogs. Arizona is 3-1 against the spread away from home this season compared to an 0-3 mark at State Farm Stadium, and road teams have covered in six of seven Cardinals games overall.
The Cardinals visit Dallas, where they won and covered as 27-17 underdogs last November. The Cowboys have failed to cover in five of their last six games as home favorites, while Dallas games have hit the over in 10 of their last 13 contests dating to late last season. Marshall leans toward Arizona and the over based on those trends.
In other notable matchups, Marshall favors the over in Raiders-Jets, Bills-Ravens, and Titans-Bengals games, citing consistent totals trends for all six teams. He leans slightly toward the Raiders in New York and the Vikings at Detroit, where Minnesota has gone under in its last five games and the Lions are 2-5 against the spread at Ford Field since late last season.
Division rivalry trends heavily favor home teams in Cleveland-Pittsburgh and road teams in Atlanta-Tampa Bay. The home side has covered 10 straight in the Steelers-Browns series, while the Buccaneers are 0-4 against the spread at home this year and 1-15 overall since mid-2025. Marshall also backs Jacksonville at home against Indianapolis, noting the Jaguars have won 10 straight outright in the series and covered six straight at EverBank Stadium.
