All-Pro Rams receiver leaves practice with injury, status unclear vs. Raiders

Los Angeles Rams All-Pro receiver Puka Nacua departed practice early Thursday with a calf injury, adding to the team's mounting injury concerns three days before they face the Las Vegas Raiders. The Las Vegas native has 37 catches for 417 yards and a touchdown in four games this season after missing two games last month with a groin and hip injury.

Nacua's injury comes on the heels of fellow star receiver Davante Adams being ruled out for six to 10 weeks with a hamstring injury. With both top wideouts potentially sidelined, the Rams' receiving corps thins to second-year pro Konata Mumpfield, veteran Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington — the only other wideouts with receptions this season.

The Rams (2-4) have lost three of four games after entering the season with Super Bowl aspirations. Injuries have decimated the roster: AP Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett remains on injured reserve following knee surgery, cornerback Trent McDuffie has missed practice with a groin injury, and defensive linemen Kobie Turner and Poona Ford are also out.

Los Angeles fell 18-16 to Arizona last Sunday. The Raiders, meanwhile, are coming off a one-possession loss to Buffalo and have lost three straight, though quarterback Kirk Cousins is tied for the league lead with 14 touchdown passes and ranks fifth with 1,582 passing yards through six weeks.
