Reno High captured the Class 4A girls state soccer title Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Sierra Vista at Spring Valley. The Huskies scored both goals in the second half to secure the championship.
The win marks a new champion in the classification. For the first time since 2018, the 4A girls soccer state title will not go to Faith Lutheran or Coronado.
Sierra Vista reached the final after defeating Palo Verde in the semifinals Friday. The Panthers had advanced to the semifinal round but fell to the Northern Region's No. 2 seed, ending their tournament run.
In other state tournament action, Bishop Gorman and Arbor View are set to meet for the Class 5A girls soccer championship Saturday, while Sunrise Mountain and Chaparral will play for the 4A boys title.
