Alcohol sales have resumed at Oyo Hotel-Casino after a brief suspension that began Oct. 23, according to employees at the off-Strip budget property. The casino restarted service on Halloween, marking the second time in 12 months that Oyo has paused alcohol sales.
The previous interruption occurred in October 2025, when Oyo halted alcohol service for 10 days after ending its management agreement with Highgate Hotels. Highgate held the property’s liquor license, and the split left Oyo unable to sell or serve alcohol until new licensing arrangements were secured.
No reason was given for the most recent pause. The property also drew scrutiny in August after a viral social media video raised questions about online travel listings for purported hotels using Oyo’s address and imagery in ways that appeared potentially misleading.
