WagerTalk.com handicapper Bruce Marshall provided the Review-Journal with his weekly breakdown of NFL betting trends and predicted edges for the upcoming slate of games. In the international matchup at Madrid, Marshall favors the Falcons and the over against the Bengals. Cincinnati has won three straight outright but is just 1-4 against the spread in its last five games, while Atlanta is 3-2 as an underdog and 4-1-1 to the over since Michael Penix Jr. returned to the lineup in late September.
Marshall sees value on the Giants and a slight lean to the over in Philadelphia. New York is 3-1-1 outright and 4-1 against the spread in its last five games under coach John Harbaugh, while the Eagles have lost six straight outright and own a 1-7 ATS mark in 2026. The Broncos are another strong play, having won and covered six of their last seven games while posting a 9-2 ATS run since late 2025 and a 21-5 regular-season record since late 2024.
Several games feature a primary edge on the total rather than a side. The Cowboys-Colts matchup leans over based on Dallas' 11-2-1 over run in its last 14 games, while the Jets-Chiefs game carries a slight lean to the over despite Kansas City's 11-4 under run since late 2025. The Lions-Dolphins and Broncos-Panthers games also carry slight leans to the over, with Miami on a 4-0 ATS streak and Carolina hitting the over in its last four home games.
Other notable trends include the Commanders, who are 3-1 in their last four as home underdogs and 9-5 ATS at home since late 2024, giving them the edge over the Rams. The Browns receive a slight lean over the Saints, as Cleveland is 4-2 in its last six games as an underdog while New Orleans is 0-3 outright and ATS at the Superdome this season. Houston holds a 4-1 ATS mark in its last five regular-season road games heading into its matchup with the Chargers.
