Rafael Nadal will return to a U.S. court for the first time since his retirement when he headlines "The MGM Slam presented by Capital One" at T-Mobile Arena on Feb. 28. Organizers announced the exhibition Monday, billing it as the 22-time Grand Slam champion's first action in the country since he stepped away from professional tennis two years ago.
Nadal, 40, previously played in a Las Vegas exhibition in 2024 during his final season on tour, facing Carlos Alcaraz. In a statement released by organizers, Nadal recalled the energy of a full arena in the city and said he returns now in a different stage of life, without the pressure of the tour but with the same passion for the sport.
Additional players and the event format will be announced in the coming weeks. The exhibition is scheduled just before the ATP 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, California.
