Boyd Gaming has promoted Rick Goldstein to senior vice president of operations overseeing the Suncoast, Aliante and Cannery hotel-casinos, the Las Vegas-based company announced on LinkedIn. Goldstein, a UNLV graduate, brings more than 30 years of gaming experience and over a decade with Boyd Gaming to the role.

He joined the company in 2016 as assistant general manager of the Kansas Star Casino in Wichita and was promoted in 2023 to vice president and general manager of Suncoast. In his new position, Goldstein will continue serving as Suncoast's general manager while adding oversight of operations at Aliante and Cannery.

Boyd acquired Suncoast as part of its $1.3 billion purchase of Coast Casinos in 2004. The company bought Aliante from Station Casinos in 2016 for $380 million and purchased Eastside Cannery and the Cannery hotel-casino in North Las Vegas that same year for $230 million.

The Eastside Cannery closed in 2020 and was imploded in March 2024. Boyd sold the vacant property in September for nearly $29 million after a homebuilder secured approvals for a new subdivision on the site.
