The 17-year-old suspect accused of shooting and killing another teenager during the First Friday festival earlier this month appeared in court Tuesday morning. Issac Manriquez was arrested on Oct. 6 after police linked him to the shooting through a wallet recovered at the scene.

Manriquez is charged with one count of open murder with the use of a deadly weapon and two counts of attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon. He is accused of shooting and killing 15-year-old Carth Onasi Jacobs-Rodgers near Charleston Boulevard and Main Street around 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 2 during the event.

Court records show a Clark County judge signed an order on Oct. 7 remanding Manriquez to the Clark County Detention Center to face charges as an adult. He is currently being held without bail.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 17.
