Early voting is underway in Clark County ahead of the November midterm elections, giving residents two weeks to cast their ballots before Election Day. Voters can visit locations such as Downtown Summerlin, Galleria At Sunset, and Desert Breeze Community Center to vote early.
This year, Clark County has updated its in-person voting process: after making selections on the voting machine, voters print their ballot, review their choices, and then scan it through a tabulator to submit their vote. The county describes the process as 'voting is as easy as one-two-three.'
Election officials encourage voters to review their choices on the printed ballot before submitting and to do their homework on the races and issues ahead of time. Nevada voters will also decide on statewide ballot questions six and seven.
Voter Wendy Burdick said, 'It is easy and there's someone at every station they'll help you with everything I'm really happy about that,' and added that she makes sure her six grown children vote because 'it's their future.' Laron Walker said the election is about creating a better future for younger generations and emphasized the importance of border security and community unity, stating, 'To make sure that the people here share our same values so that way, even if we do get new people in, they'd be more willing and accepting of our culture.'
