Week 10 scores, Week 11 playoffs schedule for Friday night football
Centennial secured a 27‑24 overtime victory over host Liberty, earning a berth in the Division I Superintendent's Cup next week. The Bulldogs will now face Arbor View, which defeated Coronado 37‑13 in the other semifinal. Arbor View had previously beaten Centennial 55‑34 during the regular season, but Centennial coach DJ Campbell said his team had shown its mettle against Liberty. “We stepped up to the challenge,” Campbell said. “It wasn't trying to prove the doubters wrong, it was to prove us right.” In Division II, Andrew Rodriguez tossed three touchdown passes to power Basic to a 35‑20 win over Legacy, extending the Wolves' winning streak to eight games. Louden Cahill contributed 100 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Carl Napoleon added two rushing scores. Basic will meet rival Green Valley, which edged Palo Verde 28‑21. Green Valley's only loss this season came to Basic, 21‑12 on Sept. 4. Division III saw Sunrise Mountain overcome a 15‑0 halftime deficit to stun Bonanza 16‑15. Kaylin Mills rushed for two touchdowns for the Miners, setting up a Division III Cup showdown with Valley. Valley advanced by defeating Cimarron‑Memorial 42‑20, creating a rematch with Sunrise Mountain, which had won the first meeting 26‑24 in overtime early in the season.
