Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Christopher Thompson, is returning to the comedy stage after a difficult period. The comedian shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing deep appreciation for the love, support, prayers, and well wishes he received from fans over the past couple of weeks.
In his post, Thompson said he felt overwhelmed by the outpouring of kindness and noted that while he couldn’t respond to everyone individually, he felt their support and was grateful from the bottom of his heart. He thanked everyone for being there for him during this time.
The statement comes after his lawyers confirmed in September that he had attempted to take his own life during an emergency hearing related to a lawsuit filed against him. Despite that, Thompson is now preparing to return to performing.
He will take the stage at the Luxor Hotel & Casino at 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, marking his first public comedy appearance since the incident.
