Suffolk Construction Co. has hired Jeff Wood as executive vice president of Las Vegas to lead its Southern Nevada business. Wood, a longtime Las Vegas construction manager with experience building casino-resorts and other big projects, joined the company from rival contracting giant McCarthy Building Cos. His past projects include Allegiant Stadium, Circa, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, and a renovation and expansion of the Palms.
The company also promoted Chris Anderson to chief operating officer of national gaming and Las Vegas, where he will oversee Suffolk’s national gaming portfolio and Las Vegas operations. Anderson has more than 40 years of construction management experience and joined Suffolk in 2025 as general manager of its Las Vegas office.
Both Wood and Anderson will report to Pete Tuffo, president of Suffolk’s Gulf Coast region, Las Vegas and national gaming operations. Suffolk has been working on projects in Southern Nevada since 2023, with current jobs including the Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas, the Durango casino expansion, and the homeless-services complex Campus for Hope.
