A 72-year-old woman was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in the southeast Las Vegas Valley, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The collision occurred at 9:10 p.m. near the intersection of Mountain Vista and Rawhide streets. Police said a Mitsubishi Outlander was turning left from northbound Mountain Vista onto westbound Rawhide when a southbound Toyota Solara struck the passenger side of the Mitsubishi.
The impact redirected the Mitsubishi toward the southwest, causing it to hit a raised curb and overturn onto its driver's side. The Toyota came to rest in the southbound travel lanes of Mountain Vista Street.
The passenger in the Mitsubishi, identified only as a 72-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release information on the condition of the drivers or any other occupants.
