Raiders starting linebacker Quay Walker is listed as questionable for Sunday's 1:25 p.m. game against the Los Angeles Rams at Allegiant Stadium because of a chest injury. Walker had been on the field for every defensive snap this season along with safety Jeremy Chinn before being limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He returned to full participation Friday but received the questionable designation Saturday.
If Walker cannot play, the Raiders would likely turn to Tommy Eichenberg for increased snaps alongside Cody Lindenberg or Segun Olubi, who have played exclusively on special teams. The defense would also probably use extra defensive backs in certain situations. Running back Mike Washington Jr. is also questionable with foot and back injuries that kept him out of practice Thursday and Friday, though he has not been ruled out.
The Rams are dealing with significant injuries of their own. Star wide receiver Puka Nacua is questionable with a calf injury, and fellow receiver Davante Adams has been placed on injured reserve. Top linebacker Nate Landman is in concussion protocol and will not play, while cornerback Trent McDuffie is questionable with a groin injury and did not practice this week. Defensive tackle Poona Ford and defensive end Kobie Turner were also placed on injured reserve.
The Raiders activated defensive tackle Tim Keenan III and defensive end Cian Slone from the practice squad for Sunday. Neither running back Roman Hemby nor Owen Wright were activated, which signals optimism about Washington's availability. Tight end Carter Runyon and wide receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. have returned to practice but remain on injured reserve and will not play.
Las Vegas has lost three straight games after a 3-0 start and faces another difficult test against Los Angeles. Defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway is expected to return from a concussion to face the Rams, according to coach Klint Kubiak.
