UNLV's defense forced three interceptions, including Andre Porter's pick-6, to hold North Dakota State to just seven points in a 13-7 Rebels victory.
Andre Porter snatched a pass and raced 23 yards into the end zone, providing UNLV’s sole touchdown in a 13‑7 victory over North Dakota State. The Rebel defense smothered a Bison attack that had been averaging 33.6 points per game, forcing three interceptions of quarterback Nathan Hayes. Hayes, playing with an injured toe, completed just 12 of 22 attempts for 124 yards and a single scoring strike.
North Dakota State answered with a 21‑yard touchdown connection between Hayes and Chris Kiel, knotting the score at 7 with 6:10 remaining in the first half. Kicker Ramon Villela then accounted for the rest of UNLV’s points, nailing a 29‑yard field goal in the third quarter and a 24‑yard effort in the fourth.
On the ground, Jai'Den Thomas paced the Rebels with 112 yards on 22 carries. The win held North Dakota State to its lowest point output since a 9‑3 triumph over Illinois State on December 14, 2019.
