Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to a shooting just after 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, in the 300 block of South Decatur near the intersection of Decatur and Meadows Lane, south of I‑11. A man was found shot to death in the passenger seat of a vehicle; another person drove the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Through the investigation, officers identified the suspect as Levante Davidson, 32. He was taken into custody on Oct. 14 and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of open murder with a deadly weapon.
The victim’s age and other identifying details have not been released. The Clark County coroner’s office will handle identification, and police have not provided additional information about the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting.
