Road to Vegas: 5 matchups to watch in Week 10 of college football

Week 10 of the college football season puts 23 Top 25 teams on the field, including nine from the Top 10 and six ranked-on-ranked matchups, with several programs eyeing conference titles as the road leads toward the 2027 College Football Playoff championship game in Las Vegas this January.

The headliner sends No. 1 Miami (8-0) to South Bend for a Top 5 clash with Notre Dame (7-1). The Hurricanes boast the nation's most productive offense at 47.6 points and 534.9 yards per game, but will play without top receiver Malachi Toney, who suffered a high ankle sprain requiring surgery. The Irish counter with a defense allowing just 13.4 points per game and a plus-14 turnover margin, third nationally.

In Salt Lake City, the 104th "Holy War" marks the first Top 10 meeting in series history. Undefeated Utah (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) hosts BYU (7-1, 4-1) with the Utes holding a 62-37-4 all-time edge, though the Cougars have won the last three meetings, including a 24-21 victory in Provo in 2025.

Georgia (7-1) travels to Oxford to face Ole Miss in an SEC rematch of last season's CFP quarterfinal, which the Rebels won 39-34 in New Orleans. The Bulldogs bring a balanced attack averaging 41 points while allowing just 14.9, while Ole Miss averages 37.1 points and 439.6 yards at home.

Also in the SEC, Alabama (6-2, 4-2) visits LSU (6-2, 3-2) in Baton Rouge. The Crimson Tide have won the last three meetings, including a 20-9 win in Tuscaloosa last season. LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt threw for a career-high 387 yards in a win over Auburn, while Alabama's Keelon Russell passed for 311 yards and three touchdowns against Texas A&M.
