The Rams' injury woes deepened Friday as star wide receiver Puka Nacua and cornerback Trent McDuffie were listed as questionable for Sunday's game at the Las Vegas Raiders, while linebacker Nate Landman was ruled out with a concussion. Nacua left Thursday's practice early with a calf injury, though coach Sean McVay said there was no obvious incident. "I don't think he knows exactly when it occurred," McVay said Friday. "Took part in a majority of practice, left, got it checked out, and so he'll be questionable for the game." Nacua's status will be a game-time decision.
McDuffie, who missed last week's 18-16 loss to Arizona with a groin injury, did not practice Friday but worked on the side with a trainer. Landman entered concussion protocol after the Cardinals game. Veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks will be elevated from the practice squad to fill in; the 11-year NFL veteran has spent the past three seasons with the Chargers, Cowboys and 49ers.
Los Angeles (2-4) is already without wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring surgery, 6-10 weeks), defensive tackle Kobie Turner (groin, at least four games) and defensive tackle Poona Ford (triceps, season). If Nacua cannot play, the receiving corps would consist of Konata Mumpfield, Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell and rookie CJ Daniels, who would make his NFL debut. "You don't ever ask anybody to replace those guys," McVay said of Adams and Nacua. "I think it's our job to figure out, all right, what are some of the spots that we can put them in that accentuate their skill sets."
McVay said there is a "possibility" that pass rusher Myles Garrett, acquired in a blockbuster offseason trade, could return to practice next week. Garrett underwent knee surgery and was placed on injured reserve after a disappointing Week 1 performance in Melbourne, Australia.
