New 30-acre wildfire discovered near Mt. Potosi

LAS VEGAS — A wildfire that has scorched at least 30 acres was first observed Friday on the southwest flank of Mt. Potosi, the Nevada Wildfire Dashboard reported. Designated the Epan Fire, the blaze erupted shortly after 5:30 p.m. and authorities believe it was ignited by lightning emanating from a dissipating thunderstorm.
