Clark County prosecutors announced Wednesday that there is insufficient evidence to pursue terrorism-related charges against Allison Howlett, the woman arrested with a cache of weapons at Sunset Station.
Howlett, 36, was arraigned July 1 on 35 felony counts, including battery constituting domestic violence with use of a deadly weapon, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, 21 counts of larceny of a firearm, eight counts of possession of an instrumentality weapon or silencer, and four counts of possession of a short‑barreled firearm or shotgun.
Police disclosed her arrest at a June 30 news conference, stating she was suspected of making a threat related to an act of coercion and several other offenses after officers took her into custody June 27 in the parking area of Sunset Station. The arrest report says authorities recovered 24 guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition from the sedan she was occupying.
District Attorney Steve Wolfson said in an emailed statement that prosecutors have enough evidence to proceed on the remaining felony charges but not on a terrorism offense.

Police also recovered 26 additional firearms from Howlett’s residence in Henderson.

Her partner informed investigators that Howlett left their home after an argument over money, the apprehension report noted.

The spouse further told authorities that, from January 2024 to January 2025, Howlett made “numerous threats to perpetrate wide shootings erstwhile she would get angry,” according to the report.

At the June 30 briefing, Metro Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren said the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force had identified “several threats” made by Howlett.

Police said Howlett’s partner also showed investigators a 38‑minute video from January 2024 in which Howlett threatened to “sprout up” the Las Vegas Strip.

Howlett remained in custody at the Clark County Detention Center as of Wednesday, online jail records indicated. Bail is set at $500,000, and she is due back in court next week.

During the June 30 briefing, law‑enforcement officials referred to Howlett as both male and female; her apprehension study identified her as transgender.
