The statewide Nevada high school football playoff schedule is set, with the Las Vegas Review-Journal reporting the full bracket that will be updated as scores and future pairings are finalized. In the Open Division, the state semifinal loser will face the 5A Northern League champion at a time to be determined.
The 5A Southern League championship features the No. 2 seed traveling to the No. 1 seed for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Additional games across multiple divisions are structured with the lowest remaining Northern seed visiting the highest remaining Southern seed at 1 p.m., while the lowest remaining Southern seed travels to the highest remaining Northern seed, also at 1 p.m.
In the 1A classification, West Wendover, the No. 3 Northern seed, will face Coral Academy Reno, the No. 2 Northern seed, at Sparks High School. The schedule follows a consistent format of cross-regional matchups between Northern and Southern league qualifiers.
The playoff schedule comes amid a busy week of Nevada high school sports. Arbor View captured its first girls soccer championship by outlasting Palo Verde in a penalty kick shootout, while Virgin Valley upset The Meadows in five sets for the 3A Southern Region volleyball title. Bishop Gorman claimed the 5A Southern Region volleyball crown, handing the Gaels their first loss to a Nevada opponent in nearly four years.
