More than 1.5 million pounds of meat products have been recalled because they might have been stored at the wrong temperature, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The recall covers a wide range of items including hot dogs, kielbasa, deli meat, cocktail franks, bologna, bacon and chicken sausage sold under brand names such as Kayem, Specialty Products, Al Fresco, Triple M, McKenzie, Deutschmacher, Jordan’s, Essem and Winnisimmet.
The affected products were produced between March 31 and Oct. 7. There have been no reports of illness linked to the recalled items, though anyone concerned should contact their doctor.
Consumers who have the recalled products should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. A complete list of recalled items and photos are available through the USDA.
