Clark County fire crews contained a battery fire inside a residence at 5344 Hillsboro Lane early Saturday morning, according to a department release. The home sits directly across the street from Harley A. Harmon Elementary School in the southeast valley.
Firefighters responded just after 3 a.m. and found smoke coming from the front of the house. They launched an aggressive interior attack to locate and extinguish the fire while confirming all occupants had evacuated safely.
The fire was contained, and one person was treated at the scene. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
