Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson and guard Jackie Young both received All-WNBA honors Saturday, the league announced. Wilson was named to the first team for the fifth consecutive season and sixth time overall, while Young earned a second-team selection for the second straight year and third of her career.
Wilson led the Aces to a 31-13 record while capturing her fifth league MVP award. She also claimed a third straight scoring title and fifth overall, and led the WNBA in blocks. Wilson averaged 26.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game this season.
Young posted career highs in scoring (18.9 points) and assists (6.8) per game while shooting a career-best 92.8 percent from the free-throw line. She ranked third in the league in free-throw percentage, fourth in assists and 10th in points.
The honors come after the Aces' season ended Friday in a three-game semifinal sweep by the Golden State Valkyries. Las Vegas had been seeking a second two-peat in five years before the loss.
