UNLV football fans will have to wait another week to see the Rebels take the field. The team does not have a game scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, as it observes its second bye week of the 2026 season. UNLV enters the break with a 4-3 overall record following a 41-31 loss at Air Force on Oct. 17.
The scheduled open date gives coach Dan Mullen's team extra time to prepare for the final five games of the regular season and the stretch run of the Mountain West race. The Rebels need two wins in their remaining five games to become bowl eligible for the fourth consecutive season.
UNLV returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 31, when it hosts Northern Illinois at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT, and the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
The Rebels will look to get back on track after their three-game win streak was snapped by the Falcons, who rushed for more than 400 yards in the conference matchup. Across three losses this season, the second half has not been kind to UNLV.
