The Week 12 high school football schedule for Southern Nevada features just eight games and no playoff contests, a result of 30 Clark County School District programs going independent.
On Friday, Liberty, Las Vegas High and Faith Lutheran each earned victories in regular-season action.
In championship games, Sunrise Mountain outlasted Valley to win the Division III Superintendent's Cup, with five players scoring touchdowns for the hosts. Arbor View defeated rival Centennial to capture the inaugural Division I Superintendent's Cup, marking the program's first football championship. Green Valley overcame an early injury to its starting quarterback to shake off host Basic and claim the first Division II Superintendent's Cup.
Meanwhile, the Southern Nevada high school girls soccer playoffs begin Saturday in Class 5A and 4A. Faith Lutheran's girls volleyball team swept Arbor View on Thursday.
