Cowabunga Bay sets 2027 closure for Henderson site

Cowabunga Bay announced Monday that its Henderson location at 900 Galleria Drive will not reopen for the 2027 season, ending a run that began in 2014. Ownership said the decision allows the company to concentrate on its Summerlin property, Cowabunga Canyon, which will open as scheduled next summer.

A spokesperson said focusing on a single park will better serve the Las Vegas area. "Cowabunga Canyon remains an important part of our future in Las Vegas, and ownership has a strong desire to continue investing in the park and enhancing the overall guest experience," the spokesperson said. "While we close one chapter in Henderson, we look forward to continuing to create lasting memories for families across Southern Nevada."

The Henderson site will be maintained and secured while ownership determines its future use. Cowabunga Canyon, located at 7055 S. Fort Apache Road near Warm Springs Road, rebranded and underwent renovations in 2022. Officials confirmed that 2027 Cowabunga Vegas Season Passes already purchased will be honored at the Summerlin location.
