North Las Vegas city officials hosted veterans, their families and community members Saturday for the annual Veterans Day Barbecue and Resource Fair at the Veterans and Community Resource Center on East Centennial Parkway.
The free, family-friendly event was open to the public and gave attendees a chance to meet with local organizations offering resources and services tailored to veterans' needs.
Since opening in October 2022, the center has connected more than 1,900 local veterans to no-cost services including employment, housing, education, mental health and well-being, finance and legal support.
