Dalton Kincaid returns to Las Vegas as a Pro Bowl tight end with the Buffalo Bills to face the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday. He turns 27 on game day and calls the homecoming a 'surreal moment,' noting he has driven past the stadium site hundreds or thousands of times growing up in the area.
Kincaid played one season of high school football at Faith Lutheran as a senior, after attending Coronado High as a basketball player. He later walked on at the University of San Diego, became an FCS All-American tight end, transferred to Utah, and was drafted by the Bills in the first round in 2023. He has made the playoffs in each of his three NFL seasons and earned a Pro Bowl selection last year as an injury replacement.
Family, friends, and former high school teammates plan to attend the game, including Vernon Fox, Kincaid’s former Faith Lutheran coach, who is now the Raiders’ team chaplain. Kincaid said he often reflects on his path, crediting his faith: 'I probably rely more on my faith in that stance. You know everything happens for a reason. It’s all written out in God’s plan.' He added, 'To think back and be able to go back home and see it all come full circle is pretty sick.'
