A single-vehicle crash in Henderson left one person dead and another hospitalized with life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning, according to the Henderson Police Department.
Police and fire crews responded around 12:30 a.m. to the intersection of Horizon Ridge Parkway and Shaded Canyon Drive near Gibson Road, where a vehicle carrying two people had crashed into a light pole.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Investigators suspect speed and impairment were factors in the collision, police said.
