On Tuesday morning, a 61‑year‑old woman died after being pulled from a Las Vegas house fire. Fire crews from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue and the Clark County Fire Department were dispatched at 6:23 a.m. to a two‑story residence on the 1600 block of Muinos Street, adjacent to South Hualapai Way and West Charleston Boulevard. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames. They initiated fire suppression and searched for possible occupants, locating the woman inside. She was removed from the structure and the blaze was extinguished by 6:38 a.m. The victim was taken to University Medical Center, where resuscitative efforts continued until she was pronounced dead at 7:18 a.m. Investigators have not yet determined the origin of the fire; preliminary damage estimates are $50,000.
