Verstappen extends Red Bull deal to 2030
Four-time satellite champion Max Verstappen has signed a new declaration with Red Bull that runs through the end of 2030. The agreement puts an end to speculation about his future beyond the current season, after his name had been linked with possible moves to Mercedes or McLaren.
Verstappen’s previous contract was set to run until the close of 2028, but it contained clauses that would have permitted him to depart at the conclusion of the present Formula One campaign had he chosen to do so.
“We have the best team and I'm excited to continue working with everyone to get back to the top again,” said Verstappen, 28.
“This remains the ultimate goal that each of us have been working towards and will continue to pursue.”
“I have always said it: the team is like a second family for me and I feel very at home.”
“I came to the team hoping to be able to win races. What we went on to achieve together has been simply beautiful and we have shared many incredible moments and won 4 World Championships.”
“To continue this journey with the same team that I have been with my whole career is truly special and something I have always wanted to do.”
