Texts reveal 14-year-old allegedly murdered by singer D4vd had pregnancy and abortion

Texts Show Alleged Victim of D4vd Had Pregnancy and Abortion Before Death Messages exchanged between singer D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, and 14‑year‑old Celeste Rivas Hernandez reveal that she had been pregnant and had undergone an abortion prior to her death, prosecutors said during a hearing to determine whether Burke should stand trial for the teen’s killing. In a June 2024 text, Celeste asked Burke, “What [if] the archetypal termination didn't work?” Prosecutors noted she was 13 at the time and Burke was 19. Prosecutors allege Burke killed Celeste after she threatened to expose his alleged abuse of a minor and destroy his music career. Burke has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and sexual abuse of a child. An exchange from January 2024 shows Burke apologizing to Celeste, writing, “putting her done this.” Celeste replied, “neither of america are susceptible of watching and taking attraction of the baby. it's for the champion no?” Burke then asked, “also my parent ever told maine to inquire this question if I was ever successful this concern … it is excavation right?” Celeste responded, “of people its yours David,” according to detective testimony. Prosecutors also presented a June 2024 message in which Burke wrote, “Let's fto this termination be the past 1 til we person the existent one…” The court heard that iCloud data recovered from Burke’s iPhone contained texts dating back to August 8 2022, when Celeste was 11 and Burke was 17. D4vd rose to prominence on TikTok with the songs “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” His worldwide tour was cancelled after Celeste’s body was found in the front trunk of his Tesla in September 2025, the month after she would have turned 15. He subsequently withdrew from public life and social media. Police announced his arrest in April this year. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman filed seven criminal charges against Burke, including murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child, and mutilation of remains. Prosecutors said Celeste was reported missing by her family and last seen at Burke’s Hollywood Hills residence on April 3 2025—five months before her remains were discovered in the vehicle. They allege Burke met Celeste online when she was 11 and began sexually abusing her when she was 13 and he was 18.
