Raiders reunite offensive lineman with former Seahawks coaches

The Las Vegas Raiders have added offensive lineman Bryce Cabeldue to their 53‑man roster after claiming him off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. To make room, veteran Atonio Mafi was waived. Cabeldue, a sixth‑round pick by the Seahawks in the previous season, spent his rookie year working under the Raiders’ current head coach Klint Kubiak, offensive coordinator Andrew Janocko and offensive line coach Rick Dennison. While with Seattle, the Kansas product appeared in eight games for the team that won the Super Bowl the prior season. Although he played tackle at the University of Kansas, he has been utilized inside at the professional level. The Seahawks likely hoped Cabeldue would clear waivers so he could be returned to their practice squad, but Las Vegas exercised its top waiver claim to bolster its offensive line.
