Police responded around 2:05 a.m. near Walnut Star and Star Creek Bay lanes, close to East Lake Mead and North Lamb boulevards, where they found the two victims on the street.

Investigators say a dispute broke out among several people in front of a residence and escalated when multiple suspects pulled out firearms and began shooting at each other, striking the two victims in the crossfire.

The suspects fled before officers arrived. The man died at the hospital; the woman's condition was not released.

The Clark County coroner's office will identify the deceased and determine the cause and manner of death. Metro's Homicide Section is asking anyone with information to call 702-828-3521 or email homicide@lvmpd.com. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
