Amy Hunt follows up her extraordinary week at the European Championships with a second-placed finish in the women's 200m at the Diamond League in Lausanne behind Kayla White.

Amy Hunt secured second place in the women's 200m at the Diamond League meeting in Lausanne, clocking 22.32 seconds to edge out Nigeria’s Favour Ofili in a photo finish. The victory went to American Kayla White, who won in 22.18 seconds. Former world champion Shericka Jackson withdrew after pulling up on the bend with a leg injury, while two‑time Diamond League champion Brittany Brown did not start the race. Hunt’s performance came on the heels of a remarkable week at the European Championships in Birmingham, where she captured four gold medals—in the 100m, 200m, women’s 4x100m relay and mixed 4x100m relay—making her the first athlete to win four golds at a single edition of the championships. The Diamond League circuit continues with a meet in Silesia, Poland, on Sunday 23 August, followed by Zurich, Switzerland, on Thursday 27 August. The season finale will be held in Brussels, Belgium, over the weekend of 4 and 5 September.
