Henderson Police stopped more than 300 motorists during a two-week blitz this month targeting distracted driving, the department announced in a news release.
During the initiative that ran from April 1-19, officers stopped a total of 309 vehicles, which included issuance of 85 distractive driving citations and 153 speeding citations.
The efforts were part of the Joining Forces program, through which Henderson Police received $174,500 in grant funding through the Nevada Department of Public Safety.
