Free agent Jadon Sancho is believed to prefer a move abroad despite receiving offers from Premier League clubs.

Free agent Jadon Sancho is said to be weighing a move overseas despite having attracted interest from several Premier League sides. The 26‑year‑old winger began evaluating his options six weeks after his Manchester United contract expired. Borussia Dortmund, where Sancho made 158 appearances during two separate spells, is understood to be one of the clubs expressing interest. Sancho, whose transfer to United in 2021 carried a fee of £73 million, is reported to favour a destination outside England while remaining open to all possibilities. Last season he was on loan at Aston Villa, making 39 appearances as Unai Emery’s side secured Champions League qualification and recorded a Europa League run. He came on as a late substitute in the victory over Freiburg, marking his third European final in three seasons. During the 2024‑25 campaign Sancho spent time on loan at Chelsea, featuring in 41 matches. That arrangement included an option to buy, but the west London club paid a £5 million penalty to return him to Manchester United. Sancho has been training at non‑league Flixton to maintain his fitness ahead of the forthcoming season.
