‘Everything was gone’: Southwest Las Vegas victims describe growing mail theft problem

Southwest Las Vegas resident Bonnie Tollefson found her mailbox empty in early June after her husband checked it. The couple had not retrieved their mail for several days, expecting at least a government flyer, a solicitation or some junk mail, but discovered nothing. Tollefson then visited the station bureau on West Russell Road, where a postal clerk informed her that “there's been a batch of theft in the country and besides id
