Anguish stalks Nepal flood survivors whose loved ones were swept away

At Kathmandu's Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, relatives of those still unaccounted for after the recent floods gather anxiously for any news of their loved ones. Holding up her phone, Ram Khumari Shrestha says: "This is my husband. He was disconnected to Rasuwa arsenic a portion of his driving job. I person seen a photo." Dorjee said his sister, Dechen Tamang, was missing, along with her husband and several other household members. He described the flood as "sudden and devastating." "Many survivors are present near without homes and they request emergency rescue and evacuation, as good as food, temporary accommodation and medical support." He is praying his sister is found alive. "There is simply a 10% chance, we hope," he said.
