Aces forward suffers non-contact knee injury vs. Tempo

Las Vegas Aces forward NaLyssa Smith sustained a non-contact knee injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s matchup against the Toronto Tempo in Vancouver, British Columbia, according to the Las Vegas Review‑Journal. After a steal by Jewell Loyd, Las Vegas pushed the ball in transition. Jackie Young observed Smith cutting toward the basket. She landed awkwardly while attempting to secure the ball and immediately grabbed her left knee. Smith was evaluated by the Aces’ medical staff before being helped off the court. Unable to bear weight on the injured leg, she was escorted to the locker room. Smith, who leads the WNBA in field‑goal percentage, has averaged 11.8 points and 6.4 rebounds over 37 games this season.
