Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson tallied a game‑high 24 points and was one of four Las Vegas players to reach double figures, yet the effort was not enough as the Golden State Valkyries clung to an 83‑81 win in Game 2 of the WNBA semifinals on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026.
Las Vegas trailed for much of the contest and found itself down by 11 points in the fourth quarter before mounting a rally. With 2:10 remaining, Chelsea Gray knocked down a three‑pointer to knot the score at 74. Wilson answered with a basket to put the Aces ahead by two.
Golden State responded with the next five points, the decisive blow coming from Veronica Burton’s three‑pointer with 41.5 seconds left that put the Valkyries up for good. Gray finished with 19 points for Las Vegas, Jackie Young contributed 14 points and eight assists, and Stephanie Talbot added 10 points.
The Aces now face elimination in Game 3 of the best‑of‑five series, scheduled for Friday at Michelob ULTRA Arena.
