Watch: US man struck by lightning describes 'horrific' experience

Thomas Fahmy, a Staten Island resident, described being struck by lightning on August 27 as "horrific". He said he was walking to the dentist when he saw "a agleam achromatic flash" and instantly fell to the ground. Fahmy told CBS News, the US partner of BBC News, "I've ne'er felt these sensations ever successful my life". He was taken to hospital with the assistance of a local resident who called 911 and did not sustain serious injuries.
