In boys soccer, Eron Bojku of Sierra Vista had three goals and an assist in the Mountain Lions' 6-1 win over Desert Oasis. Shamire Lewis of Arbor View scored the winning penalty kick with eight minutes left to lift the Aggies to a 2-1 victory over Faith Lutheran. Josiah Sayre of Centennial recorded a goal and an assist in the Bulldogs' 4-2 win over Sky Pointe. Jacob Sheer of The Meadows scored an equalizer with 10 minutes remaining as the Mustangs tied Equipo Academy 1-1. Johnny Valeriano of Eldorado earned a shutout with three saves in the Firehawks' 4-0 win over Liberty. Jaden Viveros of Doral Academy led the Dragons with three goals and two assists in a 10-0 win over Del Sol.

In girls volleyball, Gabriella Birch of Tech had 14 digs and four service aces in the Roadrunners' sweep of Valley (25-11, 25-23, 25-17). Presley Hartstrom of Sierra Vista recorded 11 kills and two digs in the Mountain Lions' win over Doral Academy (25-19, 26-24, 25-13). Lesli Perez of Rancho logged 23 assists as the Rams defeated Eldorado (25-12, 25-9, 25-23). Carly Rogers of Desert Oasis posted eight aces in the Diamondbacks' win over Clark (25-10, 25-14, 25-17). Emily Thomas of Mojave collected 13 digs and nine kills in the Rattlers' victory over Sunrise Mountain (25-13, 25-22, 25-19). Palo Verde's girls volleyball team beat Centennial in four sets at home.

Additional highlights: Faith Lutheran's Maddie Perez set a state record at the Class 5A Southern Region girls golf tournament en route to the individual title. Lola Borsh of Desert Oasis was voted girls Nevada Preps Athlete of the Week for cross country. Aaden Moyer of Bishop Gorman was voted boys Nevada Preps Athlete of the Week for cross country. Several spots remain to-be-determined for the CCSD Superintendents Cup in-season tournament for independent Clark County School District football programs. Shadow Ridge and Centennial will battle for playoff position, with four other critical high school football game previews noted. Coronado's girls volleyball team rallied from a two-set deficit to beat Arbor View in a five-set thriller on Wednesday night.
