Single-vehicle crash kills Pahrump man in southern Nevada July 9, 2026 – 2:52 p.m. A Pahrump man was killed in a single-vehicle crash west of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. The incident occurred at 11:35 a.m. on July 2 on northbound Nevada State Route 160 at mile marker 32, according to a Nevada Highway Patrol release. Investigators said a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox failed to maintain its lane, entered the left shoulder and struck a median cable barrier with the vehicle’s left front. The driver, identified by NHP as Dustin Yager, 42, was taken to a section infirmary and pronounced dead. NHP’s Southern Command has investigated 34 fatal crashes resulting in 37 fatalities in 2026.
