Orange haze from Canada wildfires seen in Ontario and northern US

Orange haze from Canadian wildfires drifts into Ontario and northern United States Smoke and an orange‑tinged haze generated by hundreds of wildfires burning in Canada have moved across Ontario and into several northern U.S. states. According to the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre, there are presently 838 active wildfires burning across the country. Officials say the smoke is not expected to be as severe as it was in 2023, when smoke from Quebec wildfires blanketed the U.S. East Coast.
