New York Jets running back Breece Hall is expected to miss two to three weeks with a groin strain but should be available for the season opener against the Tennessee Titans on September 13, head coach Aaron Glenn said Tuesday. Hall sustained the injury Monday during practice after a non‑contact cut. Initial concern eased after further evaluation deemed the issue non‑serious. The setback will likely keep him out for the remainder of the preseason, allowing the Jets to take a cautious approach rather than risk aggravating the injury. With roughly three weeks between his anticipated return and the Week 1 kickoff, the club believes Hall’s prior experience reduces the need for extensive preseason snaps. Hall is entering his fifth NFL season after signing a three‑year, $45.75 million extension in May. In 2025 he rushed for 1,065 yards, becoming the first Jets player since Chris Ivory in 2015 to top the 1,000‑yard mark, and added 1,415 yards from scrimmage with five touchdowns. Over four seasons he has accumulated 3,398 rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, 188 receptions for 1,642 yards and nine receiving scores. Selected in the second round of the 2022 draft out of Iowa State, Hall has been a key component of New York’s offense.
