Nevada No. 1 for housing growth with wildfire risk, new study says

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nevada leads the nation in housing growth on land prone to wildfire, a new study reveals. According to the LendingTree investigation, the number of residences in such areas has risen 55.3 percent since 1990. The same report ranks Washoe County 22nd nationally for total structures in wildfire‑risk zones, with a count of 28,784 buildings.
