Minimum 10-match ban for discrimination - FA

Players found guilty of discrimination will receive a minimum ten‑match ban under the Football Association’s strengthened rules, which take effect at the start of the upcoming season. Previously, sanctions for aggravated breaches of FA Rule E3.2—covering offensive remarks about ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, religion, sex, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, or disability—varied between six and twelve matches. The tougher penalty, which also applies to managers and anyone in the technical area, forms part of the FA's pledge to "delivering a game free from discrimination".
