Man dies in Arts District stabbing, Las Vegas police say

Las Vegas police reported that a man was killed in a stabbing in the Arts District early Saturday morning. The Metropolitan Police Department said it received a call about a stabbing in the parking lot of a business located in the 700 block of West Imperial Avenue just before 3 a.m. Several bars in the Arts District are near the lot. Officers arriving on the scene found a man lying in the parking lot with an apparent stab wound, according to a Metro release. He was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead. Detectives determined that the victim had been involved in a verbal altercation with another man inside the establishment, which led to his removal from the premises. A second altercation outside resulted in the stabbing. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
